PARHAM AIRFIELD MUSEUM OPEN DAYSUNDAY 3rd JULY 2005AUXILIERS' REUNIONJuly's Open Day also saw an informal reunion of around 35 Auxiliers from across the country. Lt Col Norman Field, OBE, the senior surviving Intelligence Officer, travelled from mid Kent for the day. There was a tie for the longest travelling Auxilier between Roy Coleman (Port Talbot) and Trevor Miners (Perranporth). Capt Ken Ward (Auxunits Signals) was there; as were Yolande Alston (Auxunits ATS), Capt. Barbara Culleton (also ATS), and Jill Monk (SDS). Others present included Geoff Bowery, Alfred Cable, Ralph Clarke, Bob Millard who recently updated his notes on Bath Auxunits to this website and Ann Fielding who has kindly loaned her husband's memorabilia to Parham Museum.All photographs courtesy of Paul Mothersole |
